Meet the Maker
“Challenge accepted” is a phrase that owner Shanna Ray will often say of Ray-Bar Boozy Extracts and any idea a baker or drink lover may throw her way. The business began, unofficially, in 2016 when Shanna gave her homemade extracts as gifts to friends and family. Come 2024, her husband, Shawn, encouraged her to create a business as her culinary skills improved; she was making delicious extracts and bitters, and her desire for people to have quality ingredients in their food and drink expanded. When hosting friends and family, Shawn and Shanna Ray invite guests to “belly-up” at their home bar, fondly called the Ray-Bar, and enjoy exciting drinks and mocktails. Shawn Ray is the mixologist and ultimate Research and Development partner!
Ray-Bar Bitters and Cubes are designed to complement mocktails, cocktails, and champagne, without overpowering them or creating a
syrupy taste. Home mixologists and professionals can use these products with ease and refine their own drinks and recipes to the perfection of their palate.
Ray-Bar Extracts are small batch and use organic ingredients. Extracts take longer to produce because the alcohol content is lower, and Shanna wants her flavors just right, so quantities are more limited. If you enjoy
baking, we’ve got your favorite flavors covered. Plus, we make custom extracts and bitters, you bring the idea, we bring the flavor.
What we love about our product is that bitters and extracts can last for up to ten years if stored correctly…aka out of direct sunlight at room temperature. We know you won’t keep them that long, though.
